On February 7, 2017, a delegation from the Armenian Bone Barrow Donor Registry (ABMDR), headed by its president and founder Dr. Frieda Jordan, paid its annual visit to Archbishop Moushegh Serpazan Mardirossian of the Western Prelacy. The group thanked the Archbishop for his sustained and enthusiastic support of the organization throughout the years, updated him on the progress and achievements of ABMDR, and informed him of its immediate and future plans and goals, including planned visits to Javakhk and Argentina to register new donors, its official commitment in tissue-typing patients in Armenia in need of a transplant and their families free of charge, and making its Cancer Symposium aimed at educating and helping the community part of its annual series of events. Serpazan offered his blessings and encouragement to ABMDR’s dedicated volunteers, proposed May 7th 2017 as “Prayer Day for ABMDR”, reaffirmed his commitment, and offered his assistance in ABMDR’s outreach efforts.
