The Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry's (ABMDR) Match for Life 2005 banquet was held at the Glendale Hilton on August 5, 2005. The event attracted over 350 guests and dignitaries who came to support the ABMDR in its quest for finding bone marrow/stem cell matches for Armenian patients, to raise funds for its ongoing operations and to celebrate its honorees.

On May 27, 2005, at the Marriott Hotel Yerevan a Gala Evening was organized under the auspices of the Honorary Chairperson of ABMDR, The First Lady of Armenia Dr. Bella Kocharian. All proceeds from the Gala evening were donated to ABMDR and Institute of Hematology where pediatric leukemia patients are treated.

Long-time ABMDR supporters Rubina & Kegham Varjabedian and Bibi & Ara Sarian co-hosted an awareness and fund raising reception at the Varjabedian's in Waltham on the first night of the drive. Over 50 friends and supporters gathered to hear Dr. Jordan explain the goals and achievements of the Registry, generating a great deal of interest and excitement around the ABMDR mission. "We hope to turn this into a tradition", said co-host Ara Sarian, Esq., during his encouraging welcoming remarks.
